We recently completed a custom build with Brenner Built, and our experience was exceptional. From start to finish, they were responsive, easy to work with, and genuinely understanding of our vision and needs. Working with them felt like collaborating with an old friend from college—comfortable, professional, and enjoyable. The craftsmanship throughout the home is top-notch, exactly what we expected from a builder with their reputation. After seeing them win last year’s Home Show Expo, we knew we’d be getting a quality-built home, and they delivered. Our house is solidly constructed with beautiful finishes and attention to every detail. One of the highlights of our experience was the level of customization they offered. This was a completely custom home, from the floor plan and layout to room sizes, finishes, and architectural details. Every aspect reflects our preferences, and Brenner Built Homes was flexible and accommodating throughout. We were also impressed with their commitment to the timeline. The plan they provided at the start was followed meticulously, and we finished right on schedule—a huge plus in today’s market! After moving in, as with any new home, a few minor issues popped up, and their after-sales support has been fantastic. They’ve been responsive in addressing these concerns, showing their commitment to quality and ensuring that our dream home is just as we envisioned. Our favorite features include the floor-to-ceiling windows in the main living space, which fill the house with natural light, and the walk-through mudroom that keeps us organized and makes mornings run smoothly. The master bathroom is a personal favorite as well, especially the shower with its rock-style flooring and built-in bench. Our daughter loves the huge bathtub! Overall, hundreds of decisions went into building this home, and it’s been amazing to see everything come together so perfectly. We couldn’t be happier with the final result, and we highly recommend Brenner Built to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled builder for their next home.

“Quality of workmanship is exceptional”
Brenner has been exceptional from Day One. Cody and Andrew and their team get our highest possible recommendation. They created a house that is more beautiful than we ever imagined! They meticulously went over every detail of our plan to give us an accurate cost estimate and a time estimate before they ever began. They have been true to that through the entire build. Any over-runs were when WE requested something different. When we came up with new requests, their answer was almost always, "Yes, we can absolutely do that. Here is how that affects the cost and our timing." They were always available for questions and were willing to talk through any concerns we had until we were satisfied. The quality of workmanship is exceptional. Every team they sent was not only expert, but also pleasant, hard-working and happy to be working for Brenner. It is rare to find a team with this excellent quality of workmanship AND this level of customer care. Building our house has been a joyful experience. They get our highest recommendation!

“We instantly feel in love”
We first found out about Brenner Built at an open house. We met Andrew and he was the first realtor that wasn't pushy, instead laid back. We reached out and he showed us other Brenner Built homes, we instantly feel in love. We had an excellent time planning our custom with Cody and Andrew. During selections Abbie was a HUGE help, making sure everything worked together. During the build Jordan, Andrew and Cody were amazing! We planned several meetings through out our build and Cody and Andrew took time on weekends to help talk things out. I wouldn't build with anyone else! See y’all on the next one!

“Extremely kind and enjoyable to work with”
Cody Brenner and his team at Brenner Built finished our basement (about 1300 sq. ft. - added two bedrooms, full bath, living with gas fireplace, wet bar, etc.). Cody was really great to work with. He let me run with all my visions/dreams and didn't pigeon hole us to only a few select options - which we've experienced with other builders previously. Cody was beyond professional - he was also extremely kind and enjoyable to work with. The teams he contracted we're also extremely kind - I worked remote for a good deal of the project and always felt safe - the teams were very considerate of me being there. Communication was from Cody was great- we had at minimum weekly updates. Great quality of work. Finished on time. I can't even think of constructive feedback I would give him. I think we had one thing we wanted him to change/correct during the project - some built-ins and if I recall he had them rebuilt differently next day! Thank you for all your work Cody!

“Completed our home in a timely manner”
Initially, we chose Brenner Built to build our home because we liked a floor plan of a house they previously built. They indicated they could work our home into their schedule. In spite of some shortages of supplies and sub contractors, they completed our home in a timely manner. We are very happy with the quality of their work. Jordan was on site often and supervised professionally. Andrew was always very easy to reach and answered any questions we had. He also sold our previous home quickly and efficiently. We had looked at several homes before we found our Chandler Plan in Polk City. When we walked in, it was like Cody had read our mind on everything we were looking for, from the extended 3rd stall garage to the perfect sized unfinished portion of the basement that was ideal for my husband’s workshop area and storage. There are so many details that let you know Cody was thinking of function as well as beauty. Our home is open and airy with the large windows letting in tons of light. The covered deck is perfect for entertaining and relaxing. The kitchen has so much storage area with the walk in pantry, ample cabinets and large island. Everything was thought out with the family in mind and we couldn’t have asked for anything more if we would have designed the home ourselves. We know that this home will be one we will be in for a very long time. It’s beautiful!

Thank you to Brenner Built for our beautiful Ankeny house – it is truly a sleek beauty inside and out with a well thought of layout that is really functional and works well for our entire family. Though it is a spec home, we were lucky enough to find it mid-construction already showing its great possibilities that included a gorgeous 10 foot island, among its many other upgraded features! Their team worked well with us in incorporating the minor changes and additions we wanted to do. At the end, after looking at probably more than 25 houses in a span of more than 2 months, we for sure got everything we wanted and more! We plan to enjoy our house for many, many years!
